Michael Truong has devoted much of his professional career to preserving and sharing the stories that have shaped the Chinese American experience and its meaningful connection to America’s history. A graduate of Whittier College, where he majored in sociology and minored in anthropology, Truong joined the Chinese American Museum as a Public Allies intern in 2005 and was subsequently named Director of Operations and Programs before rising to Executive Director. In his current position, he continually seeks to incorporate unique and innovative approaches to storytelling, utilizing such avenues as art history, music and dance, and other contemporary touchpoints.
