As stewards of collections and stories that highlight over 250 years of American history, join us for a keynote as 14th Librarian of Congress Dr. Carla Hayden joins Smithsonian Secretary Lonnie G. Bunch III to reflect on the significance of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the transformative moments that have followed. The session will explore how educators and learners of all ages might leverage this milestone as a springboard to celebrate the nation’s successes, contemplate our history, commemorate the sacrifices of those who have worked to uphold the nation’s ideals, and commit to advancing our democracy and preserving our shared future.
