Next year, 2026, will be the 250th anniversary of the United States’ Declaration of Independence. How can we make the most of this anniversary with young people? Museums and other community learning partners across the country are using a powerful framework to develop learning resources, exhibitions, and programs. The Educating for American Democracy roadmap knits together civic and history learning through seven themes, five “design challenges,” and hundreds of questions, organized by grade band, that shape an inquiry approach to our teaching and learning. Come learn more about this trans-partisan initiative and take away tools for your classroom!
