Name
Marking the 250th: Beyond the 13 Original Colonies (Online)
Date & Time
Tuesday, July 15, 2025, 12:00 PM - 12:50 PM
Description
The 250th anniversary of our nation evokes images of the Declaration of Independence, Paul Revere, and the 13 original colonies. But the 250th anniversary is not just about 1776. It is an opportunity to tell our nation’s complete history, from its earliest inhabitants to present day events. Educators from cultural institutions in California, Colorado, and Texas will share how they are marking the nation’s 250th—connecting the national story to their communities’—and the resources and ideas they’ve developed that can be adopted, adapted or scaled by formal and informal educators alike.
