Beth Evans (she/her) is the Youth and Family Programs Coordinator at the National Portrait Gallery. She holds a B.A. in history from Brigham Young University and an M.A. in art history from The George Washington University. In addition to her work in school, family, and adult programs at the National Portrait Gallery, Beth has worked in museum education at The Phillips Collection and the National Gallery of Art. Through her current work, Beth plans and facilitates programs that engage multigenerational audiences with art, history, and biography through close looking, storytelling, artmaking, and more. These programs include workshops, story times, tours, and large-scale festivals. Beth has created bilingual Spanish/English partnerships with many local and national organizations, including DC Public Schools, Fairfax County Public Schools, and New York City Public Schools. Beth coordinates in-gallery and virtual opportunities to open the Portrait Gallery’s programming to visitors of all ages.
