                                                    Samantha "Sam" Hunter-Gibbs has spent her entire career in museum education roles, mainly focused on facilitating professional development for K-12 teachers and creating online classroom materials that are accessible and incorporate diverse stories about the past. She has most recently worked as the Director of Education at the National Archives and the White House Historical Association in Washington, DC. Originally from southern New Jersey, she came to Washington, D.C. to study at American University where she received her B.A. in History with a minor in Sociology and her M.A. in Public History. She has also previously worked for the Rhode Island Historical Society where she served as the state’s National History Day affiliate coordinator. In 2018, Sam co-authored an article in the Journal of Museum Education titled “Immigration & Change in Rhode Island’s Golden Age: A Program for Adult English Language Learners.” She has also been a member of the American Association for State and Local History's Educators and Interpreters Committee and serves as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Museum Education.
