Anya Creightney is a program specialist and the head of the National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature program at the Library of Congress. She, alongside program partner Every Child a Reader, oversees the ambassador’s platform, including all interrelated subprojects and platform pillars, and is always working to bolster young readers and researchers. As part of her office’s larger mandate, she works closely on U.S. Poet Laureate projects, the National Book Festival and year-round programs, like the Live! at the Library series. She also enjoys cooking and documentaries, and, trained as a poet, she spends oodles of time reading to her young kids.
