Speaker Bio
Jenn Reifsteck is School and Teacher Programs Manager at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Asian Art, which she joined in 2017. She holds Bachelor's degrees in Art Therapy and Studio Art and a Master's degree in Museum Education. Dedicated to a museum's role in fostering engagement, inspiration, and community, Jenn has been creating experiential learning opportunities for all ages in the museum field for nearly 20 years. At the NMAA, Jenn develops teacher professional development opportunities, produces print and digital educator resources, designs school field trip programs, and assists with docent training. In 2024, Jenn was one of five Smithsonian educators nominated to receive the Education Achievement Award. Jenn has presented at numerous conferences including the National Association for the Education of Young Children, American Alliance of Museums, National Council for the Social Studies, the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums, the National Docent Symposium, and MuseumNext. With a passion to nurture the emotional and physical wellness of individuals, Jenn also teaches yoga and qigong as a Registered Yoga Teacher, Registered Children's Yoga Teacher, and certified Holden Qigong Teacher.
