Brian Sheehy is an award-winning educator, curriculum leader, and public historian dedicated to making history meaningful, relevant, and accessible for all learners. He serves as History Department Coordinator at North Andover High School, where he has developed innovative courses, led interdisciplinary curriculum initiatives, and created the school’s pioneering History Learning Lab, a hands-on space centered on object-based learning. Brian has partnered extensively with leading educational and cultural institutions, including the Smithsonian Institution, where he serves as a teacher mentor for the Democracy in Dialogue Virtual Exchange Program. His collaborations also include work with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, National History Day, the National Humanities Center, and the Council on Foreign Relations. A nationally recognized educator, Brian is committed to fostering historical thinking, civic engagement, and meaningful connections between students, communities, and the past.
