Summer L. Hamilton is the Digital Community Partnerships Specialist at the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum where she collaborates with educators and other community partners to co-create educational experiences and digital resources. Prior to joining SWAHM, Hamilton was an Assistant Research Professor of Digital Scholarship at The Pennsylvania State University. Prior to PSU, Hamilton amassed a decade of technical experience working as both a systems and network analyst. She also spent five years as a high school English teacher in Dallas, Texas. Hamilton earned her Ph.D. in English from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She also holds an M.A. in English from Southern Methodist University and a B.S. in Computer Science from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee.
