Maureen is an Education Specialist with the Our Shared Future: Reckoning with Our Racial Past Initiative in the Smithsonian’s Office of the Under Secretary for Education. In addition to completing a teaching fellowship in the U.K., she has designed and facilitated civics, history, and art history-based programs for K12 students, educators, and museum professionals at various state and national museums. She holds a B.A. in History and English from the University of Virginia and a M.A. in Art History and Museum Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her research has been published in Museum and Society.
