Description

How can learning about the past help young people imagine and shape more equitable futures? In this interactive session, educators explore how Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum resources and oral histories — including women’s narratives of independence, financial access, and identity — can be leveraged to cultivate financial awareness and civic agency.  Participants will examine how historical systems and experiences develop, consider how they are evolving today, and explore strategies that support youth in transforming historical awareness into action.
