Beth Evans (she/her) is the Youth and Family Programs Coordinator at the National Portrait Gallery. She plans and facilitates programs that engage multigenerational audiences with art, history, and biography through close looking, storytelling, artmaking, and more. These programs include workshops, story times, tours, adult evening programs, and large-scale festivals. Beth has created bilingual Spanish/English partnerships with many local and national organizations, including DC Public Schools, Fairfax County Public Schools, and New York City Public Schools. Beth coordinates in-gallery opportunities to open the Portrait Gallery’s programming to visitors of all ages. In addition to her work in school, family, and adult programs at the National Portrait Gallery, Beth has worked in museum education at The Phillips Collection and the National Gallery of Art. She holds a B.A. in history from Brigham Young University and an M.A. in art history from The George Washington University.
